Turning the Pages is an award-winning interactive programme developed by the British Library which allows users to virtually 'turn' pages, zoom-in on high-quality digitised images and read or listen to explanatory notes and music.
Turning the Pages allows many more pages to be viewed and enjoyed than the one or two pages which can be displayed in a glass case and, most importantly, does not damage the original volume in the process.

The core technologies behind Turning The Pages are part of Windows Vista, so a Windows Vista PC will be able to run the application without further downloads.
Apple Mac, Linux and other Windows users can still experience Turning The Pages by installing Silverlight for Mac, Silverlight for Linux and Silverlight for Windows.
