For many older people, finding a trades person can be a worry. Not getting the right one can work out costly and be more stressful than neccessary. The Newcastle Trades Register can help you to find trades people to carry out repairs and maintenance in your home.
The Trades Register is for homeowners over 60 living in Newcastle upon Tyne.
There are two levels of service to choose from -
If you have any queries during the work, we are available, by telephone, to offer guidance. We will contact you on completion of the work to make sure that you are happy with the standard of work done by the trades person. You will pay the trades person directly for the cost of the work. If you use the advisory service there is a fee of £25 payable to Anchor.
All of the trades people we will put you in touch with are registered with us. Before registration all trades people are vetted to Anchor’s standards, and the standard of their work is assessed.

We will send a questionnaire to you and welcome any feedback you would like to give us about the trades person you have used and our service. This will help us to ensure that the trades people on our register maintain Anchor’s standards.

The Trades Register service is a programme of the Quality of Life Partnership and is funded by Newcastle City Council.
All of our services operate under a strict code of confidentiality and no information is passed on to any third parties without your permission, outside of NewcastleGateshead Staying Put.
