Accessibility for children with disabilities or additional needs

Many children with disabilities and additional needs will want to join in with events in this guide and we want that to be possible. Contact the activity provider directly to discuss your particular requirements. Alternatively, Newcastle City Council have a Get Connected programme that helps families and activity providers to overcome the barriers that can stop people with additional needs from attending activities. This can provide advice, training, visits and much more. If you think this would be a service you could use, contact the Families Information Service on 0191 277 4133.
