Publication of details and submission of comments on the Council website

If you choose to submit your comments via the website you must ensure that you receive a confirmation on screen before closing the form.  If you do not Example of onscreen confirmationreceive a confirmation on screen please try resubmitting your comment; or alternatively email details to planning.control@newcastle.gov.uk  

Please note that with the exception of the commentors phone numbers, email address and signature any comments provided will be published on the Council's website without modification.   A copy of your comments can be emailed if requested.  Similarly, notification of the outcome of the decision will also be sent to you electronically. 

Alternatively, if you have any problems using this site or would prefer to view a paper copy of the application they are available to view in the Customer Service Centre on the ground floor of the Civic Centre between 08:30am and 04:30pm Monday to Friday.  Any letters of representation should be sent to Development Management, Room 900, Strategic Housing, Planning & Transportation Division, Civic Centre, Barras Bridge, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 8PD 

Comments submitted through the website can be viewed within the comments sections of Public Access.  Comments submitted using alternative means can be viewed as attachments within the documents section of the site.  

We will accept application comments upto the the point at which the application is determined.  However it is in your interest to submit any comments as early as possible.  We will not determine the application before the end of the publicity period.  Any parties consulted will have a minimum of 21 days from date of consultation to respond.  Notification / consultation can be viewed from our Public Access website.

In the case of a householder application and in the event that the application is refused and subsequently goes to appeal, any representations made about the application will be passed to the Secretary of State and there will be no opportunity to make further representations.

Further copies must not be made without the prior permission of the copyright owner.

Additional Points to Note

At present the system does not provide a definitive history of a given site.  You may need to identify all of the UPRN's and land parcels relating to the property (i.e single addresses, block addresses) such as 'land at...', '1-3 High Street', '1-3 High Street and 1 Station Street' etc.
