This fund brings together a range of separate grant funds operated by the council and provides the opportunity for longer term funding deals to help community groups sustain their work over the years ahead.
Newcastle Fund application process and decision making update (pdf, 28.4Kb)
The Newcastle Fund will be a four-year fund starting in April 2011. Voluntary and community groups and organisations working in Newcastle will be able to apply for funding by submitting a proposal that evidences it will bring positive outcomes for residents and communities in the city. These proposals should be reflective of the outcomes set out within the city’s Sustainable Community Strategy (more information about this is contained within the Sustainable Community Strategy Information Sheet).
This means that unlike previous years the City Council will accept multiple year grant aid requests with a maximum of four years funding being available to appropriate projects. We do expect the Fund to be over-subscribed, therefore please make any applications realistic and ensure that you answer all of the requirements.
Applications for the current year are now closed.
We will confirm receipt of all applications.
