It is a requirement that anyone wishing to keep explosives shall register their name, trade and premises with the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service.
The registration is for one year on the payment of the statutory fee and becomes renewable on the 1st July for air bags and 1st October for fireworks each year.
