On the same day another copy must be received by the police. A fee of £21 is payable to Newcastle City Council for each temporary event notice.
The police may object to the giving of a TEN if they consider it necessary for the promotion of prevention of crime and disorder objective. If the police do make an objection there may have to be a hearing. The police may modify the TEN with the consent of the premises user.
Counter notices may be provided by the licensing authority if the number of permitted TENs has been exceeded.
If no objections are received from the police, we will stamp and sign the copy of the application and return it to you as acknowledgment of receipt of the TEN. This should be kept safely and should either be prominently displayed on the premises during the event, or be kept in the custody of the premises user or a nominated person, and a notice displayed at the premises to this effect.
