Newcastle Register Office will soon be offering an online application and payment service for copies of birth, death and marriage certificates. For now, follow the instructions below.
Records can be searched by year, forename and surname. When you have the search result you were looking for, click on the link next to it to open up the application form, which you need to print off and complete. The reference number you need appears on the application form. Click on one of the links below to search our database.

Please note, a GRO index reference (see our 'how to trace your family history' pages) may help you to narrow down the period that you ask us to search for you, but the GRO reference does not help a local register office in any other way.
