Transferring to middle, secondary and high school in September 2012.
Each school listed on your form is considered as a separate application. This is a legal requirement and is called equal preference
Is a first come, first served system used to allocate places?
How are places allocated?
What happens if you cannot offer any school listed on my application?
How many places are available at each school?
No. All applications received by the closing date of midnight on 31 October 2011 will be considered together in the first round of allocations.
If there are enough places then they will be offered to all applicants. If the school is over-subscribed all places are allocated according to the admission rules.
If we are unable to offer your child a place at any school that you list, you will be offered a place at the nearest school with a vacancy.
The admission number for each school is shown in the school information. This number indicates the maximum number of children the school can take in any one year. It takes into account the size of the school and is calculated using a formula from the Government.
How and when will I find out which school my child is offered?
